Roof steel and purlins over blockwork

Roof beams and galvanised purlins set across new blockwork, ready for the roof build up to follow.

Red oxide roof beams with galvanised purlins spanning across new blockwork walls on a house under construction

About this job

The beams were seated onto padstones and levelled across the full width before the purlins went on.

Purlins were bolted through cleats at set centres to suit the roof sheeting, so the next trade could start straight away.
