Structural beams, period house renovation
Beams threaded into an old house to carry floors and roof loads while walls and chimney breasts were opened up.
About this job
The house was being stripped back, so beams had to be sized and set out to suit what was left of the existing joists and walls rather than a clean slate.
Everything was made and painted before delivery, brought in by hand where machines could not reach, then bolted up to padstones and posts as the openings were formed.

- Site measure off the engineer's details
- Beams cut, drilled and painted in the workshop
- Lifted in and bolted to padstones and columns
